Harvard Kennedy School’s Notable Alumni

Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government focuses on training the next generation of leaders in both the private and public sectors. In order to inspire students the school offers a Leadership Council, full of leaders who represent the leaders that Harvard wants their students to be. Below is a glimpse of some of the leaders featured on the Leadership Council.

Mohammed A. Alshaya
Mohammed A. Alshaya is the owner of M.H. Alshaya Co. W.L.L., which is one of the most successful retail franchise operations in the Middle East, and reaches its spread from North Africa, Russia, Turkey, and Europe.

Yousef Al Otaiba
Yousef Al Otaiba http://ambassadoryousefalotaiba.weebly.com/ is the United Arab Emirates Ambassador to the United States. He has also previously served as Director of International Affairs for the Court of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi.

Louis Bacon
Louis Bacon is the founder of Moore Capital Management, which is an American hedge fund, which is owned by its employees. Mr. Bacon previously led Prudential Financial’s and Merrill Lynch’s real estate efforts in North Carolina.

Josh Bekenstein
Josh Bekenstein is the Managing Director at Bain Capital since 1986 and previously has worked at Bain & Company working with a number of different companies in a number of different industries.

Nicolas Berggruen
Nicolas Berggruen is the founder and president of Berggruen Institute which is a think tank that works on addressing governance issues. This Institute created the WorldPost, which is a media publication, dedicated to global issues via the Huffington Post.

Leon Black
Leon Black founded the firm Apollo Global Management where he specializes in leveraged buyouts and private equity. Leon previously has also had experience as the Managing Director of the Mergers & Acquisitions Group within the investment bank Drexel Burnham Lambert.

Donald Dixon
Donald Dixon is currently the Managing Director and Founder of Trident Capital, which is located in Palo Alto, CA. In previous experiences he has also been the Vice President of Morgan Stanley and the Managing Director for Alex. Brown & Sons.
