Computer Science I is a one semester introductory course in programming. For the 2002 - 2003 school year it is being taught in the Visual Basic programming language. This course assumes no prior programming knowledge. Each unit of this course will focus the student on a particular aspect of computer science in general and specifically the application of that structure within the Visual Basic programming language.
Assignments for the unit may include, but will not be limited to smaller program assignments, worksheets to reinforce concepts from class and programs, review sheets intended to help students study for tests and one larger project from each chapter. Print copies of the assignments will be provided for all students, and also made available online. It is not assumed that students have a computer at home to work on, however if a student falls behind the class or wishes to receive extra help from the teacher ample time will be provided for students to have access to the computer lab and instructor. Included on this page is a course outline and useful links for students.
